The next Pack Walk in the Park will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2013.
Pack Walk in the Park (group dog walk) is an opportunity to get some exercise (for you and your dog) and socialize with other dog owners (non-dog owners are welcome, too!).
We will walk the two-mile loop of newly paved pathways for walking, jogging, skating, and biking. Plants to attract butterflies have also been placed along the park’s northern corridor.
TY Park requires all dogs to be on a 6' leash (no retractable / flexi leads) at all times. TY Park's admission fee is $1.50 per person (ages 6 and up)
After you enter the park through the toll booth, take your 1st right turn & park. You will see a red & white sign with a picture of a butterfly that says "Listen to Nature! Please turn down your radio." We will meet in this area and start walking at 9 AM (please arrive by 8:45 AM and allow time for entry, parking, etc).
We will have some treats, samples, and some give aways for your dogs after the walk!*
Info on TY Park:
The Seminole Indian name of this 150-acre urban park, Topeekeegee Yugnee, means “meeting or gathering place.” T.Y. is well known for its shady picnic areas, numerous shelters, and a gazebo.
*This event is sponsored by Harlo's Healthy Pets and Kat Walking Dogs

Dear Natura Family,
We have some sad news to share. We are announcing today a voluntary recall of all Innova, California Natural, EVO, Healthwise, Mother Nature and Karma branded dry pet food and biscuit/bar/treat products with expiration dates prior to June 10, 2014.
We made this decision in part due to a single positive Salmonella test by the FDA on product manufactured April 3. Normally, this would have resulted in retrieval of product manufactured over just a few days. However, we are taking the additional precautionary measure to recall all products in the marketplace. Our first priority is the wellbeing of the pets we serve.
Our decision allows us to ensure that all products available in the marketplace were produced after June 10, the date when we implemented additional finished product testing procedures with the guidance of industry experts.
Below this message you will find instructions on how to request a replacement voucher or refund. If you have any further questions, please contact us at http://www.naturapet.com/about/contact-us or (800) 224-6123.
We are truly sorry. We know this news disappoints you; we are disappointed too. Natura will always focus on high-quality ingredients, product safety and innovation in pet nutrition. We remain committed to making products you can trust.

While the age old rivalry between dogs and cats may still exist, many families have at least one canine member and one feline member. In most of these families everyone can coexist in a loving manner (with a few “sibling disputes” from time to time).
Dogs and cats do have some different nutritional needs; however, there are many things that can be enjoyed by both canines and felines. In general it seems that dogs receive more treats than cats; perhaps there are more treat products geared towards dogs? You no longer have to worry about buying dog treats and then getting a guilt trip from the feline member(s) of your family. There are quite a few quality treat options that can be given to both dogs and cats.
While the list of differences between dogs and cats may be lengthy, they can both agree on their affinity towards fish. Grizzly Salmon Fillet Treats are made of 100% Wild Salmon Fillet. These treats can be broken into any bite size. Salmon Fillet Treats are an all-natural treat and a good source of Omega-3’s that are beneficial for both canines and felines (and humans, but not sure you’ll enjoy these treats as much as your pet will enjoy them). The Honest Kitchen also has a fish treat, called Wishes, that is suitable for both cats and dogs. Wishes are made with 100% human-grade, wild caught Haddock. Like the Salmon Fillet treats, they can be broken into any bite size.
Of course, fish is not the only treat option for all of your furry family members. Bravo! has several freeze dried or dry roasted all natural treats for dogs and cats. Bravo’s dry roasted treats are available in a variety of options, including venison liver, buffalo liver, turkey breast, and chicken breast. Bravo only uses antibiotic-free poultry, fresh fish and grass-fed red meats in these, all-natural, grain-free snacks, so you can be confident that you are giving healthy treats to your pets.
Simplify your shopping list by including some of these treats for your pets. As with any treat, moderation is the key (although all of these are pretty low calorie). Always supervise your pet when giving any type of treat (safety first).
